Deborah Lloyd

Social Worker

 

​A dedicated professional with over 25 years’ experience in non-profit program management and organizational leadership, Deborah Lloyd hails from Durham North Carolina. Deborah has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology from Florida State University and an MSW from Florida A & M University. She currently resides in Tallahassee Florida and is the Director of Advocates for Veteran Housing a supported service for veteran families program of the Big Bend Homeless Coalition. Where she provides program direction and leadership to the agencies first million dollar multi-county initiative creating permanent housing opportunities for 250 homeless and unstably housed veterans.

 

Deborah previously spent more than 20 years in various leadership positions with local human service organizations where she provided grant and contract management, designed, secured funding, and operated more than 15 programs. These include, but are not limited to juvenile delinquency prevention programs, juvenile delinquency intervention programs, behavioral health programs, programs to prevent teen pregnancy, and programs to strengthen at risk families. A committed social justice advocate, Deborah also managed and developed key programs contributing to the safety and quality of life for families in economic crisis, incarcerated battered women, women escaping domestic and sexual violence, human trafficking, sexual exploitation and prostitution throughout the eight counties of the Big Bend.​​​​​​​​​
