Kendra Lewis, Pharm.D., CDE received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2008 from Florida A&M University (FAMU) in Tallahassee, FL. She then went on to complete her postgraduate Pharmacy Practice Residency with FAMU at the Miami Division. After completion of her residency Kendra relocated to Tampa, FL to assume a full time faculty position with FAMU’s College of Pharmacy - Tampa Division as an Assistant Professor. There she established a practice site at Tampa Family Health Center Outpatient Clinic and piloted a Medication Therapy Management Program. She served as a preceptor for an Ambulatory Care rotation for sixth year Pharm.D. Candidates and provided medication counseling to the medically underserved community.

 

In April 2012 Kendra joined Kaiser Permanente in Atlanta, GA. In her current role as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist her areas of concentration/expertise include diabetes and cholesterol management. She has recently become a Certified Diabetes Educator and is a member of the American Diabetes Association. Kendra’s areas of interest include diabetes, women’s health, health care education and prevention, teaching and research.
